6.1. Removal and installation

Each section of system of release can be removed individually or the full system can be removed as unit. Even if only one part of system needs service or replacement, frequent easier to remove the whole system and to separate the required section in a garage.

Removal

PERFORMANCE ORDER
For removal of system of release or a part of system it is necessary to lift a forward or back part of the car and to record on supports or to install the car on a viewing hole.

FORWARD PIPE

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. To unscrew nuts of fastening of a reception exhaust pipe to a final collector, then to unscrew the bolt fixing a reception exhaust pipe to an installation suspension bracket.
2. To disconnect a reception exhaust pipe from a collector and to remove laying.
3. To unscrew nuts of fastening of a flange of a back part of a reception exhaust pipe, to remove a pipe and to take from under the car.

FORWARD EXHAUST PIPE

PERFORMANCE ORDER
To unscrew nuts of fastening of flanges of a forward and back part of a forward exhaust pipe, to remove a pipe and to take from under the car.

INTERMEDIATE EXHAUST PIPE

PERFORMANCE ORDER
To unscrew nuts of fastening of flanges of a forward and back part of an intermediate exhaust pipe, to remove a pipe and to take from under the car.

CENTRAL MUFFLER

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. To weaken bolts of a coupling ring and to disconnect clips from forward and back flange connections.
2. To disconnect the central muffler from rubber pillows and to take from under the car.

EXHAUST PIPE AND MUFFLER

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. To weaken bolts of a coupling ring of an exhaust pipe and to disconnect a clip from flange connection.
2. To disconnect an exhaust pipe from rubber pillows and to take from under the car.

FULL EXHAUST SYSTEM

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. To unscrew nuts of fastening of a reception exhaust pipe to a final collector, then to unscrew the bolt fixing a reception exhaust pipe to an installation suspension bracket.
2. To disconnect a reception exhaust pipe from a collector and to remove laying.
3. To exempt the exhaust system from rubber pillows and to take from under the car.

HEAT-RESISTANT GUARDS

Arrangement of a heat-resistant guard on a reverse side of the fuel tank

Heat-resistant guards are attached from below the car (and on some models on the fuel tank) by nuts and bolts.

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Heat-resistant guards can be removed after removal of the corresponding section of the exhaust system.
2. If the heat-resistant guard is removed, for access to the component located behind a guard can be sufficient in certain cases to unscrew nuts or bolts and just to lower a heat-resistant guard (without removal of system of release).

Installation

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Installation is made in the sequence, the return to removal, taking into account the next moments.
2. To check that all traces of corrosion are removed and to replace all laying.
3. To check rubber pillows for wear and damages and, if necessary, to replace.
4. Before assembly of flange connections to grease the interfaced surfaces with high-temperature lubricant.
5. Before final tightening of connectors of system of release to check that all rubber pillows are correctly located and that there is the corresponding gap between the bottom of the car and system of release.
6. To move system of release to the parties both up and down and to check that the system moved freely, without concerning car knots.
