3. Engines
The petrol engine (8 valves) in a section
The engine is four-cycle, four-cylinder, line with a cross arrangement in a forward part of the car. Engines with a working volume of 1905 cm3 and 1998 cm3 of 16 valves have two top camshafts. On all models the water pump puts a gear belt of the drive of system of gas distribution in action.
Lubricant – under pressure created by the oil pump which is given by a chain from the right end of a bent shaft. On models with 16 valves there is an oil heater which is installed under an oil filter.
The code of the engine is beaten out on the plate attached to the right forward part of the block of cylinders of the engine, on the engine with a working volume of 1761 cm3 is beaten out directly on the face of the block of cylinders, and on the cm3 engine 1998 – to the left of an oil filter.
