9.2. Removal of power shafts
Prevention
At installation of spherical hinged connection of the lower lever it is necessary to use a new nut.
Blocking of a nave by means of forks 0606 AY

1. The car has to stand on wheels. On the relevant party it is necessary to unscrew a bolt of fastening of a connector of the stabilizer with the suspension bracket lever. |

2. To take off a cap of a nave of a wheel and to remove a R-shaped bracket (the drawing at the left) and a head (the drawing on the right) blockings of a nut of fastening of a power shaft to a nave. To weaken a nut of fastening of a power shaft to a nave on the car standing wheels on the earth. Also to weaken bolts of fastening of a wheel. To lift a forward part of the car and to record on supports. To remove the corresponding forward wheel. |
3. To remove the lower casing (equipment in some versions). |
4. To merge oil from the transmission. |
5. On the models equipped with ABS to remove the sensor installed on a car wheel. |
6. To unscrew a nut of fastening of a power shaft to a nave. |
Prevention
For simplification of unscrewing of a nut of a nave it is necessary to use the forks blocking a nave (see rice. Blocking of a nave by means of forks 0606 AY). It is not necessary to press a brake pedal at all, it can cause cutting of bolts of fastening of a brake disk.

7. To unscrew a nut of the spherical hinge of a suspension bracket. To take the spherical hinge from the lever by means of a universal stripper for spherical hinges. |

1. To take away a nave from the car and to take the external end of a power shaft from a nave. If necessary for extraction of a shaft from a nave to use the rubber hammer or a kiyanka. |
2. Supporting a power shaft, to take the internal end of a shaft from the transmission, trying not to damage a sealing ring of differential at the same time. To take a power shaft from under the car. |
Prevention
It is impossible to lower the car on wheels at all with the removed one or two power shafts since it will lead to damage of bearings of a wheel. If it is necessary to move the car, it is necessary to establish temporarily the external end of a power shaft in a nave and to fix it by a nut.

1. To weaken two bolts of fastening of the intermediate bearing. |
|
2. Then to turn bolts (are specified by shooters) on 90 ° so that their heads were displaced from the external end of the bearing. |
3. To take away a nave from the car and to take the external end of a power shaft from a nave. If necessary, for extraction of a shaft from a nave to use the rubber hammer or a kiyanka. |
4. Supporting the external end of a power shaft, to take the internal end of a shaft from the transmission and to exempt the intermediate bearing from an installation suspension bracket. |
5. After extraction of a power shaft from the transmission to remove a protective cover from the internal end of a shaft, noting the place of its installation and to take a power shaft from under the car.
Prevention
It is impossible to lower the car on wheels at all with the removed one or two power shafts since it will lead to damage of bearings of a wheel. If it is necessary to move the car, it is necessary to establish temporarily the external end of a power shaft in a nave and to fix it by a nut.
