8.1.8. Backing lamp switch

The lamp of a backing joins the switch located in the top part of a case of the transmission. Before check of the switch of a lamp of a backing to check integrity of a safety lock in a backing lamp power-supply circuit.

Check

For check of the switch to disconnect the electric socket and, using an ohmmeter, to check whether contacts of the switch become isolated (resistance has to be equal to zero) at turning on of the reverse gear. Otherwise the switch is faulty and is subject to replacement.

Removal and installation

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. For improvement of access to the switch to remove air supply tubes in the engine, the accumulator and a support of the accumulator. 2. To disconnect the electric socket (it is specified by an insole), to unscrew the switch and to remove it together with a sealing ring. 3. Installation is made in the sequence, the return to removal.
