5.2.2. Radiator

Removal

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. To disconnect a negative wire from the accumulator.
2. In the presence to disconnect the socket from the sensor of the level of cooling liquid established on the right side a radiator.
3. In the presence to disconnect the socket from the switch of the fan of the radiator established on the left side of a radiator.
4. To merge cooling liquid from the cooling system.
5. To disconnect a fastening collar (the drawing at the left) a branch pipe of air supply and to remove the air supply branch pipe located over a radiator (the drawing on the right).
6. In the presence to disconnect the socket and a vacuum hose from the MAR sensor located in the top part of a radiator then to unscrew two bolts of fastening a suspension bracket of installation of the sensor and to remove the sensor.
7. To disconnect the top hose of a radiator since the left forward end of a radiator.
8. To disconnect the lower hose of a radiator on the right side of a radiator. On some models for access to the lower hoses of a radiator (are specified by shooters) it is necessary to remove a front grille.
9. To remove two brackets of fastening of the top part of a radiator and to incline a radiator back.
10. Being careful to remove a radiator so that not to damage a radiator plate. Be attentive not to lose the lower rubber support of a radiator.

Check

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. If the radiator was removed in connection with reduction of capacity, to wash out its stream waters in two directions. To outside blow a radiator compressed air.
2. If the radiator proceeds, do not try to make or solder the place of a leakage since plastic details of a radiator will be damaged.
3. Insignificant leakage of a radiator can be eliminated with radiator sealant use.
4. To check a condition of the lower rubber support of a radiator and if necessary replace them.

Installation

PERFORMANCE ORDER
Installation is made in the sequence, the return to removal, taking into account the next moments:
      – to check that the lower ledges on a radiator are correctly established in a forward cross-piece;
      – at connection of hoses to a radiator to use new ring consolidations in connectors;
      – in conclusion to fill the cooling system.
