4.1.7. Adjustment of the carburetor


Adjustment of level of fuel in the float-operated camera

Check of adjustment of a float (fuel level in the float-operated camera) and the drawing of a template

1 – adjusting uvula

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. To uncover the carburetor.
2. To turn a cover with laying.
3. To establish a template and to check the provision of floats (the ball of the needle valve has to be pressed).
4. If adjustment wrong, then it is necessary to modify the provision of floats by means of a basic uvula (1).

Check and adjustment of additional opening of a butterfly valve of the float-operated camera

This operation can be carried out both on removed, and on the carburetor installed in the car.

THE CARBURETTOR IS REMOVED

Check conditions: ambient temperature is 20 °C.

Verification of the provision of the moved roller at adjustment of additional opening of a butterfly valve of the first camera

1 – adjusting screw,

2 – the moved roller,

3 – the screw-driver for adjustment of the moved roller,

4 – measuring core with a diameter of 3 mm,

5 – template of 180 143 T

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. By means of a measuring core (or drills) with a diameter of 3 mm to check opening of a butterfly valve of the first camera.
2. In case of need to establish necessary size by means of the screw (1).

THE CARBURETTOR IS INSTALLED
PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. To check the provision of the moved roller. For this purpose follows:
      – to insert a template (5) 180 143 T, as on rice. Verification of the provision of the moved roller at adjustment of additional opening of a butterfly valve of the first camera;
      – to check whether there is a moved roller (2) between two cuts of a template (5);
      – in case of need by means of the screw-driver (3) to execute adjustment by the adjusting screw and a core (4) with a diameter of 3 mm.
2. To take a template.
3. To start the engine.
4. To place a circular cut of a template on the moved roller and to turn a template (5) so that to join it with the top wall of the case of the starting arrangement (1 – the adjusting screw).
5. Speed of rotation of the engine has to be in limits of 2350-2450 rpm if the carburetor is supplied with a plate on a cam of the starting arrangement, or 1700–1800 rpm if the carburetor has no such plate.
6. In case of need to execute adjustment by means of the adjusting screw.

Check and adjustment of opening of the air gate

Adjustment of a priotkryvaniye of the air gate on the removed carburetor

1 – core,

This operation can be carried out both on removed, and on the carburetor installed in the car.

THE CARBURETTOR IS REMOVED

Check conditions: ambient temperature is 20 °C.

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Tweezers to undertake a core (1) (cm. rice. Adjustment of a priotkryvaniye of the air gate on the removed carburetor) and to push it in the direction shown by an arrow before contact with the screw (2).
2. By means of a drill with a diameter of 6 mm to measure a priotkryvaniye of the air gate.
3. In case of need to unscrew a lock-nut and by means of the screw (2) to establish necessary size.

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. To pick up the phone of connection of the air filter with the carburetor.
2. To start the engine.
3. To place a template of 180 143 T on the moved roller. To turn a template (5) (cm. rice. Adjustment of a priotkryvaniye of the air gate on the installed carburetor) so that to join it with the top wall of the case of the starting arrangement.
4. By means of a drill with a diameter of 6 mm to measure a priotkryvaniye of the air gate.
5. In case of need to unscrew a lock-nut (3) and by means of the screw (2) to establish necessary size.

Check conditions: ambient temperature is 20 °C.

1. To completely open a butterfly valve of the first camera.
2. By means of a drill with a diameter of 8 mm to measure a priotkryvaniye of the air gate.
3. In case of need to establish the required size by means of forks (3) (cm. rice. Adjustment of a priotkryvaniye of the air gate at full opening of a butterfly valve of the first camera) (drawing apart forks adjustable size and vice versa increases).

THE CARBURETTOR IS INSTALLED
PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. To place a template (1) on the moved roller and to turn it so that it joined the top wall of the case of the starting arrangement.
2. By means of a drill with a diameter of 8 mm to measure a priotkryvaniye of the air gate.
3. In case of need to establish the required size by means of forks (3) (drawing apart forks adjustable size and vice versa increases).

Idling adjustment

The starting arrangement should not function, the engine has to be heated-up up to the working temperature, the system of ignition has to be in good shape and is correctly adjusted. Leaks through which there can be a suction of additional air are unacceptable. Also the system of production of exhaust gases has to be tight, and all consumers of electric energy have to be switched off.

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. To adjust turns of idling of the engine by means of the screw of a butterfly valve (1) (see rice. Idling adjustment – the screw of a butterfly valve).
2. To adjust contents WITH in exhaust gases by means of the screw of composition of mix (2) (cm. rice. Idling adjustment – the screw of adjustment of composition of mix).
3. In case of need to correct turns of idling of the engine.
