3.3.19. Removal and installation of the MA transmission

Removal of the right power shaft

1 – nuts of fastening of the bearing of the right power shaft,

2 – arm of a back engine mount,

3 – right power shaft

Installation of the right power shaft

1 – plastic assembly casing,

2 – right power shaft

Removal

The transmission is taken from under the car.

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. To establish a cowl in vertical position.
2. To take the accumulator and its holder.
3. To remove knot of the air filter.
4. To disconnect a coupling cable from a clutch lever.
5. To disconnect three connectors of management of gear shifting from the transmission lever.
6. To disconnect a weight wire from the transmission.
7. To remove the socket of the switch of lamps of a backing.
8. To remove a starter.
9. To remove a wire of power supply of the pump of the hydraulic booster of steering system (in cars with the hydraulic booster of system the helmsman of management).
10. To unscrew bolts of fastening of connectors of the stabilizer to the lever.
11. To remove forward wheels of the car.
12. To remove the lower casing of the transmission (if is available).
13. To merge oil from the transmission, having unscrewed a stopper in the lower part of an external case of differential.
14. To remove from below a coupling casing.
15. By means of a special stripper to take the lower spherical hinges from rotary fists.
16. To disconnect a driving cable of a speedometer from the transmission.
17. To disconnect a forward exhaust pipe from a final collector.
18. To take the sensor of provision of a bent shaft (VMT sensor) which is in a back wall of the block of cylinders of the engine (if is present at system of ignition).
19. To remove the holder connecting an arm of a back engine mount to a body.
20. To weaken nuts of fastening of the bearing of the right power shaft to an arm of a back engine mount and to turn their bolts half way.
21. To remove a rotary fist outside and to extend power shafts from the transmission.
22. To hook on the transmission for an opening in the top edge of its case the elevator placed over a motor compartment.
23. To remove a metalrubber element of an arm of the transmission.
24. To lower a little the power unit so that the transmission was in the bottom.
25. To hold in such situation the power unit by means of the corresponding beam with the holder hooked for an engine ear.
26. To unscrew bolts on connection of the transmission with the engine.
27. To take the transmission from under the car.

Installation

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. To grease with Molykote BR2 Plus lubricant of a vent of a main shaft, vent of a power shaft and edge of sealing rings of a power shaft.
2. To bring the transmission to the engine and to tighten fastening bolts.
3. To install the power unit in horizontal position in a motor compartment.
4. To establish a metalrubber element of the holder of the transmission. To tighten two external nuts the moment of 15,5 Nanometers, an average nut – the moment of 35 Nanometers.
5. To establish a plastic assembly casing of a sealing ring of the right half shaft.
6. To insert the left and right power shafts into the transmission. To remove an assembly casing of the right power shaft and to tighten nuts of fastening of the bearing of the right power shaft to an arm of a back engine mount the moment of 17,5 Nanometers.
7. To establish the holder connecting an arm of a back engine mount to a body. Bolts of fastening of the holder to the engine to tighten the moment 35 Nanometers, a bolt of fastening of the holder to a body – the moment of 45 Nanometers.
8. To connect a rotary fist to levers, having installed the lower spherical hinges (the moment of tightening of 30 Nanometers).
9. To establish stabilizer connectors with levers (the moment of tightening of 30 Nanometers).
10. To establish forward wheels and to lower the car.
11. To fill in oil in the transmission.
12. To adjust the coupling pedal course.
13. To attach three connectors of management of gear shifting to the transmission lever.
14. To connect other elements in the return sequence in relation to removal process.
