3.1.2.1.12. Dismantling, repair and assembly of a head of the block of cylinders

Dismantling

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. To arrange a head of the block of cylinders in forward and back parts on two wooden whetstones.
2. To remove an inlet collector together with the carburetor, and also a final collector.
3. To remove the distributor and the fuel pump.
4. To uncover the camshaft bearing from a flywheel.
5. To remove a camshaft drive pulley, holding it with the special core serving for gas distribution installation.
6. To remove a plastic casing and an oil pipeline.
7. To remove five covers of bearings of the camshaft, and then to take the camshaft.
8. By means of a special sucker to take pushers. To designate pushers, and also adjusting plates.
9. Using standard adaptation, to squeeze a valve spring.
10. To take valve crackers.
11. To remove the device for compression of springs and to remove the top plate of a spring.
12. To take a valvate spring.
13. To take the lower plate of a valve spring.
14. From a reverse side of a head to take the valve. Valves are removed one after another, since the party of the drive of the gas-distributing mechanism. Valves need to be marked an adhesive tape or to spread out so that at assembly they rose on the places.
15. To remove maslootrazhatelny caps.
16. To take an additional oil filter from the oil channel.
17. To clear the surfaces of connection of a head of the block of cylinders (it is necessary to use means of Magnus Magstrip or Framet Decaploc).
18. To clear and to carefully blow compressed air all details.
Prevention

It is impossible to use devices which can scratch the cleared details.


19. By means of a ruler and the probe to check planeness of the lower surface of connection of a head of the block of cylinders. The maximum not planeness makes 0,05 mm. The manufacturer does not allow grinding of the lower surface of connection of a head of the block of cylinders at service repairs.

Replacement of the directing valves

In case of detection of too big gap of valves in guides it is necessary to replace guides. This operation needs to be entrusted specialized car repair shop.
Prevention

When replacing a guide of the valve regrinding of the valve saddle corresponding to it is obligatory.


Grinding in of valves

Grinding in of valves needs to be made with use only of fine-grained polishing paste.

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. To grease a surface of a saddle of the valve with a small amount of paste and to install the valve in the corresponding saddle. To densely press to a plate of the valve a rubber sucker and to rotate the valve in one or other party.
2. After the end of process of grinding in carefully to clear all details of dirt and paste and to check a saddle and a plate of the valve. The continuous opaque ring on both details which specifies valve facet width has to be visible.
3. To put on a plate ring of the valve strokes with a pencil at distance to about 1 mm evenly on a circle, then to insert the valve into the directing plug and to turn it on 90 °, slightly at the same time pressing the valve.
4. To get the valve and to check existence of strokes. If all strokes are erased, the valve can be finalized. Otherwise it is necessary to repeat grinding in operation.
5. To check width of a prileganiye of a plate of the valve.
6. To check tightness of a prileganiye.
7. After grinding and grinding in of valves it is necessary to clear a head of the block of cylinders carefully.

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. To perform operations in the return sequence in relation to dismantling process.
2. For each valve to perform operations in the following order:
      – to arrange the valve in a guide, observing the relevant provision;
      – to establish a new maslootrazhatelny cap on a valve core;
      – to install the lower plate, a spring and the top plate;
      – special adaptation to squeeze a spring of the valve and to insert crackers.
3. To remove the device for compression of springs.
4. To establish pushers on their former places (as before dismantling) together with the corresponding adjusting plates.
5. To install the camshaft, to fix covers of bearings and a side flange of the camshaft, to tighten covers of bearings the moment of 15 Nanometers.
6. To establish consolidation of the bearing from gas distribution (adaptation 7.0153 E).
7. To establish a pulley.
8. To check and adjust a gap of valves. To perform final operations on assembly of a head of the block of cylinders in the return sequence in relation to dismantling process, i.e. to establish an oil pipeline, a bearing cover from a flywheel, the fuel pump, the distributor, inlet and final collectors (it is necessary to replace laying).
9. To install sensors of temperature of cooling liquid (if they were removed).
10. To establish an additional oil filter to the oil highway of a head.
11. A special core to record a camshaft pulley in the provision of installation of gas distribution.
