Removal of the generator

 1 – bolt of the tension device of a belt,

Removal

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. To disconnect a negative wire from the accumulator.
2. To weaken elements of fastening of the generator to his holders.
3. To weaken the tension device of a maple belt.
4. To take off maple a belt.
5. To disconnect electric connections from the generator.
6. To unscrew bolts of fastening and to remove the generator.

Installation

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. To install the generator into place and to screw up fastening bolts not against the stop.
2. To put on maple a belt.
3. To pull a belt before receiving a necessary tension.
4. To screw up fastening elements.
5. To connect electric connections.
6. To connect the accumulator.

Adjustment of a tension of a belt of the generator

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. To weaken elements of fastening of the generator.
2. By means of a bolt of the tension device to adjust a belt tension for obtaining necessary value.
3. To screw up elements of fastening and to check adjustment of a tension.
Prevention

For adjustment of a tension of a belt, first of all, Krikit adaptation (designation Peugeot) is recommended.

Repair of the generator

Actions for dismantling and assembly of the generator are not difficult.

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. During mechanical repair of the generator it is necessary to perform the following operations.
2. To estimate a condition of brushes, degree of their wear, situation, and also pressing contact rings.
3. To estimate a condition of contact rings which should be cleaned only a piece of the material moistened in gasoline or trikhloroetileny and to polish with a thin emery paper; never it is necessary to use an emery cloth.
4. To estimate a condition of bearings which do not demand any actions for their service; bearings are greased for the entire period of operation.
5. To estimate a condition of a rotor and the stator which windings should not have gaps and traces of burn-out.
Prevention

During check of electric parameters of the generator, and especially the rectifier, the used equipment should not give tension more, than 14 V (it threatens with damage of some elements of the generator).

Vypryamitelny diodes are sensitive to temperature and therefore at their replacement to a ration it is necessary to make quickly and by means of a soldering iron of low power.
