1.7. Seat belts

Correctly put on seat belts hold the driver and passengers in a sitting position. Belts substantially reduce energy of the movement which is extinguished at collision and by that prevent uncontrollable ejection of the driver and passengers from their places as a result of which drawing severe injuries is possible.

Energy of the movement of the driver and passengers with correctly put on seat belts considerably is transmitted through seat belts on a car body. And total energy of the movement is extinguished at frontal blow by a car framework thanks to the special power absorbing structure of a forward part of the car and other constructive measures of passive safety. Thereby forces which can throw out the driver and passengers from their seats significantly decrease thanks to what the risk of receiving severe injuries decreases.
